The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fourth members only tournament of 2021 this past Saturday May 22 on Lake Palestine. This was the makeup date for our February tournament that was postponed by the Great Freeze of 2021. The weatherman predicted rain and thunderstorms most of the day but lucky for us he was completely wrong. Cloudy skies and a little sprinkle made for great fishing weather. 24 boats came out to fish and the fishing was pretty good. 10 limits were weighed in and only two zeroes. At the end of the day, the team of Chris Atkinson and myself came out on top with a bag of 20.12 pounds. That included the big bass of the tournament, a 6.75 toad.
