The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our first members only tournament of the year on Sunday February 13th on Lake Ray Hubbard. The decision to move the tournament from cold and very windy Saturday to Sunday proved to be the right one as the weather started cold but ended up sunny and mild. It was typical winter time fishing especially on Ray Hubbard. Getting bites was tough but as always out there a few select teams were rewarded with the right bites. 32 teams fished with us. When weigh in was finished, the team of Keith Taylor and Chadd Dearen won going away with a monster bag of 26.81 pounds! Big bass of the event however went to the team of Clark Crenshaw and Roddy Bieber with an 8.22 monster.

Thanks to everyone who came out! Thanks to Chris for doing livewell checks. Paul and Shellye for doing weigh in and Cameron and Roddy for taking care of the financials. Our next tournament is on Saturday March 12th on Cypress Springs Lake going out of Overlook Park. If you would like to join us, you will need to come to our next meeting on Thursday March 10th at The Flying Fish restaurant in Firewheel Town Center in Garland. Start time is 7:00PM.
