Saturday, November 1st, 2020 – FFAC
Last Sunday November 1st, the Ray Hubbard Bass Club in association with the American Cancer Society put on our Fifth Annual Fish For A Cure benefit tournament. It was a beautiful day, clear and sunny and temps ranged from the mid 40’s to the mid 60’s. The wind blew pretty good out of the north, but not as bad as predicted so that was a blessing. 58 boats came out for a day of fishing and to raise money for the fight against cancer. Fishing was pretty tough as it seems to be everywhere right now but as always a few teams caught them. Our winners this year was the team of Danny Wims and Justin Spoerl who weighed in a great bag of 19.56 pounds. This included big bass of the event, a 5.95 beast.
A huge thank you to Larry Ladnier of Victiory Fishing for doing Tournament Director work again this year! Awesome job as always. Thanks to everyone in RHBC who helped organize FFAC, volunteered on Tournament Day and fished in the event. Thanks to Caitlin Rodgers from ACS who did a great job coordinating and mostly thanks to all the fishermen and women who came out to Fish For A Cure! See you next year!
