The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our 8th members only tournament of 2024 last Saturday, September 14th on Cypress Springs Lake. Fishing can be tough in September and it was a hot day with not a lot of wind. Lots of short bass, both largemouth and spotted were caught but keepers were not easy to find. 30 boats came out to fish and only six limits were brought to the scales. At the end of the day, the team of Chris Atkinson and Tom Brouillette came out on top with a limit that weighed 17.43 pounds. Big bass went to the team of Bubba and Elliott Davis with a 4.77.

Thanks to Hector De La Garza for doing registration, Garret Browne for keeping the money straight and Eugene McBride and Tyler Austin for running weigh in professionally despite a few setbacks. Our ninth and last members only tournament comes up on Saturday, October 12th on Lake Tawakoni! See you there!
