Andy Medina and Doug Rener top 73 boats at Sixth Annual Fish For A Cure with 22.71 pounds!
The American Cancer Society in association with the Ray Hubbard Bass Club held the Sixth Annual Fish For A Cure on October 31st on Lake Ray Hubbard. The day dawned chilly but it turned on to one of the prettiest days you could ever want to see for fishing a tournament. 73 boats came out to fish and raise money for the American Cancer Society. Fishing was pretty good for many and there were 15 bass over 5 pounds brought to the scales. When the scales closed, the team of Andy Medina and Doug Rener came out on top with an awesome bag that weighed 22.71 pounds. Big bass of the event went to the team of Chris Atkinson and Matt Hussmann who weighed in an 8.08 giant.
I cannot let this go without thanking our great Tournament Director Larry Ladnier and Victory Fishing who donated their time and equipment to our event. Also Justin Wright and Planet 635 Ford and Rad Rides for the use of the live release tank. The sponsors who wrote the checks to get the event off the ground. The incredible men and women of the Ray Hubbard Bass Club who donated time, effort and money to this great event. You make me so proud of our Club! And thank you of course to everyone who came out to fish, volunteer and in any way came out to help us Fish For A Cure! See you all (and more I hope) on October 30, 2022! Mark it down on your calendar!
