The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our first points tournament of 2025 last Saturday February 8th on Lake Palestine. The crazy warm weather we had for several days had the fish as confused as the fisherman. It spread them out in all phases of winter, pre-spawn and spawn. Fishing was pretty good and several big females were brought to the scales and some of our members came to the weigh in in shorts! We had a great turnout of 36 boats come out to enjoy the warm temps and brave the strong wind that blew all day. When we were finished, the team of Preston Smith and David Horton caught a huge bag of 22.62 pounds for the win. Their bag included big bass of the tournament, a 9.75 pound beast.

Thanks to everyone that came out! Thanks to the great folks at Lake Palestine Resort for taking great care of us as always. Thanks to Garrett Browne for keeping the money straight and Eugene McBride and Tyler Austin for running a smooth weigh in. Next up is the RHBC Open on Lake Ray Hubbard on Saturday February 22nd! Come out and join us!
