RHBC Open 2026 Winners Brad Haydicky and Casey Nation pose outdoors holding 4 bass fish
Brad Haydicky and Casey Nation outfish 53 boats during 2026 RHBC Open.

The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our annual Open tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard on Saturday, February 28th. I’m not sure if it was the weather (people in shorts at weigh in), the time of year, or what exactly, but we set a new RHBC Open record with 53 boats on the water!

Fishing was good for the most part. 33 of 53 teams weighed five-fish limits. And while there were lots of what we call “Hubbard special” bags of 10-12 pounds, we knew it would take a sack to get in the money and a big sack to get paid. We were right on both counts.

Our winners this year were Brad Haydicky and Casey Nation who had a huge limit of 25.81 pounds! That included big bass of the event — a 9.22 monster. My apologies for not knowing everyone pictured. If you can ID yourself or someone else, please let me know and I will update it!
