Jerry Brown and Tony Schnurr top 29-boat field on sweltering Tawakoni with 15.39 pounds!

The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our seventh members only tournament of 2025 last Saturday, August 9th on Lake Tawakoni. It was bright sun, blistering hot, and full moon conditions that greeted the 29-boat field. The wind is a fine line on Tawakoni. Too much and it gets very dangerous, but a little more on Saturday might have been nice. We fished summer hours though, so we were off the water by 12:30. Limits were hard to come by. Only five teams had them and big fish were scarce, too. When it was over, the team of Jerry Brown and Tony Schnurr weighed in a great limit of 15.39 pounds for the win. Big bass of the tournament went to Tyler Austin and Eugene McBride with a 4.64 hawg.

RHBC is on Cedar Creek next month. Saturday September 13th going out of Log Cabin. First cast that day is 6:45 a.m. and lines are out at 3 p.m. Our September meeting will be on Tuesday, September 9th at Flying Fish as always. Hope to see you there!
