The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our second points tournament of 2026 on Saturday March 14th on Cypress Springs Lake. The day started chilly but many ended the day in shorts. It was windy, but it’s March in Texas so it goes with the territory. 30 boats came out to fish with us and of those 30, 12 teams weighed in five-fish limits, so fishing was pretty good. Bigger fish were a bit finicky though, so 13 pounds won you a bit of money. We did have a couple of big bags weighed in though.
The team of Tyler and Landon O’Connor came out with the victory weighing a stout 19.66 pounds. Big bass honors went to Jay and Garrett Browne with a 6.80 pound beast.
